Through investing time and energy into the search process upfront and applying a rigorous and detailed approach to qualifying best fit options businesses can avoid the delays, cost blowouts and poor performance outcomes that are typically associated with poor search and selection practices.
Relying on referrals from well-intended peers or friends or sticking with the same old agency you’ve always dealt with has limitations and potential risks. Search engines likewise are limiting and provide little to no comfort regarding the quality or compatibility of the agencies listed.
OUR PROCESS & SEARCH METHODOLOGY
We work with clients starting with them providing a basic brief that defines the scope of work and attributes needed along with any specific preferences they may wish to have incorporated into their selection criteria.
From there we then schedule a call with the business to further validate their needs, readiness to open up their options, resources, preferences, timeframes, geography, experiences to date, levels of specialisation required, incumbent etc.
Progressing from an expanded brief we then investigate our extensive register of specialist solution providers across multiple disciplines to identify an initial long list of 6 potential best-fit solutions based on the expanded brief and services needed.
The selection of the long list will be initially be largely determined against providers match to meeting the basic brief.
Further to this we then undertake a more in-depth benchmark against the provider’s ability to ;
From there we then contact each of the long list and provide them with a basic overview brief of the scope of work and client needs and preferences, further investigate and validate their capabilities, and invite them to put forward a brief preliminary proposal to qualify their interest and readiness.
A review of the proposals is then undertaken by Marketing Search from which 3 are then selected to progress through to final shortlist submission to the client.
Marketing Search then discusses proposals and recommendations for next steps in the selection process with the client. This may involve a simple telephone/skype interview with the shortlisted agencies or in instances where the value of the account value is substantial a visit to each of the preferred agency’s business location is always recommended.
As a final step in the agency selection process, we then recommend the client invite two of the shortlisted agencies to present their proposal or plan to meet the marketing brief and make their final decision in identifying their best fit partner.
